Working in the great State of Alaska we often install systems where permafrost is a big concern. In areas with a high level of permafrost, we install Arctic Insulated Pipe, which is a metal jacketed polyethylene pipe with high-density spray insulation. We’ll also run heat traces in the fresh water line and sometimes even the septic line. Many times, an insulated septic tank is needed to prevent a system freeze up. Our crews typically work on the road system, but we also have equipment in more remote areas, such as Nome and Unalakleet. At Pioneer Peak Industries we only use top-quality materials to ensure long-lasting complete water and waste-water systems.
